Back to School Bags for Teachers
The girls picked out some things to give to the Teachers they have this year at Back to School/Meet the Teacher Night. Kyrie's is the 27th and Zee's the 28th. So I decorated a bag for each teacher to put the things the girls picked out in.

Birthday Anniversary Binder
Card Storage
My card storage has been awful since we got here I was using a CD tower and it was fine unless I had to move it. And of course I had to move it every time I needed a card. So I was going through my pinterest the other day looking for a craft to do and fell upon a card box I had pinned. So I went looking for a box. The one I found was bigger then the picture but since I still have a bunch of store bought cards left from my Granny's stuff it works for me. So I got to work covering the box in patterned paper, hunting out wooden letters and coloring them.
Then I started sorting my cards to find out how I wanted them separated. I decided on six big categories Birthday, Blank, Friendship/Thank You, Holiday, Sympathy/Get Well and Congratulations. I had these awesome cardstock designed papers left from a friend's Mother in law and I cut them down and folded them so they stand by themselves. Then I busted out my stencil and did up cut labels for each one. Then I needed sub-categories because I am that OCD!!! So I went through and broke those down. Thank You, Thinking of You, Just Because and Missing You for Friendship and Thank You. Valentine, St. Patricks, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas for Holidays. Get Well and Sympathy for the Get Well/Sympathy group. In Congratulations I have Baby, Graduation, Anniversary, and Newlyweds.
I put it all together and it looks great.

Getting my crafty on
So since it seems like all I spend time crafting lately is doll stuff (which is a ton cheaper then buying it) I felt I needed to do something not doll related. So I cruised my crafty to make folder on pinterest, which doesn't see anywhere as much attention as my doll folder. And found a card holder I had pinned. So I went in search of a box to craft over. I was having no luck then I saw the Ramen noodle case for Seth's chicken ramen and I tore off the plastic and went to work. So far it is covered in patterned paper and I made the dividers for the sections (Birthday, Congratulations, Holiday, Blank, Get Well/Sympathy and Friendship/Thank You). I want to make subdividers for the Congratulations, Holiday, Get Well/Sympathy and Friendship/Thank You and I need to cover the corners. But that is a task for another day since it is 11:30 and we are taking on two more little girls tomorrow.

Altered Word Faith
So I am finally getting around to my long craft to do list and I altered my word of the year Faith. I painted it blue and silver then inked flowers on it and then painted the flowers purple and yellow.
Doll Things
I have been working on doll things. I made some for Kyrie and for a friend of mine's daughter. I made hula hoops (tutorial), a notebook with lined paper, a folder with lined hole punched paper inside, a pencil, 2 batons, 2 clipboards (I bought them at A.C. Moore, 2 for $1.00, then I painted them), some colored pencils, and lined paper. I also put some cute little hearts in from the dolls to each other and a apple.

Valentine's Boxes
So the girls and I made Valentine's boxes today. I did the gluing with the hot glue gun for Kyrie and she did all the rest. She decided on a Zebra (no big surprise there) and named her Spot. I did paint the letters. Zee helped me put the paper on her Turtle's face and decorated the turtle and put down the first coat of paper we used. The letters are wood letters I painted.
Zee named her Turtle Shelly after the pet turtle we had in Texas Sheldon "Shelly" Cooper. Zee just went with Shelly. We put down a layer of paper on the box then used Cookie Dough Duct Tape on top of that. We used paper from the DCWV Animal Safari Stack for the face and tail. I drew the circles on with sharpie and stencils. The Zee added all the glitter things. I painted up McKenzie in Purple and Shelly in green and hot glued them on a side of the turtle. Zee stuck on the googly eyes, and button nose and mouth using pop dots. I cut the ears out of cardboard and then glued the green paper to them and BOOM Shelly the Valentine's box.
Kyrie's box we covered in Zebra duct tape I had gotten for Christmas. It wasn't enough to do the whole box but thankfully I had Zebra paper left over from her birthday stuff last year so we modge podged that on. She used buttons for the eyes with two different glitter glues for the inside part (silver and pink) and then pink buttons for the mouth. She added all the glitter things for decorations. I added cardboard ears that I hot glued on and for the tail her grandmother crocheted the tail and we taped it inside. The Boom Spots the Zebra Valentine box is done.
